Dance the night away at the best clubs in Manhattan

Feeling the music

Manhattan is the most popular of New York’s five boroughs. Some of New York’s most famous attractions are located in Manhattan, including Central Park, the Empire State Building, Times Square, Wall Street, and MoMA.

For those in the know, Manhattan also has some of the best clubs in the city. Here are 5 you should visit.

1 Oak
453 W 17th Street
New York, NY 10011

The name 1 Oak is a clever abbreviation of “One Of A Kind.” Patrons agree. The club has outstanding DJs, superb service, and an electric atmosphere. Style, sophistication, and drinks are on the menu. The club is also known for hosting the after parties of entertainment and fashion events.

289 10th Avenue
New York, NY 10001

The club’s multi-million dollar overhaul in 2013 made sure its sound and light systems keep patrons dancing all night long. While the club completely modernized its facilities, it remains old-fashioned when it comes to house rules – no shorts and baseball caps for men. And, if you like to drink, Marquee has a boom box bar where you can fuel up after spending time on the dance floor.

Lavo Night Club
39 E 58th Street
New York, NY 10022

The club has state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems with a sunken dance floor, LED screens, and a DJ booth. It also features an Italian restaurant on the upper floor styled after a 19th-century bistro with a dining room in red and white leather, and a coffee and a dessert bar. Other activities include a champagne party brunch on Saturdays.

Le Bain
848 Washington Street
New York, NY 10014

Located on the 18th floor of The Standard Hotel, the nightclub has reasonably priced drinks and does not have a cover charge. There are 360-degree views of New York City from the main floor and the rooftop which is just one floor above. The dance floor also has a plunge pool.

210 W 55th Street
New York, NY 10019

The PHD Terrace in Dream Hotel is an all-season gathering place with great views of the Empire State Building, the Manhattan skyline, and Times Square. The east and west terraces offer outdoor views in winter.

637 West 50th Street
New York, NY 10019

A standout in the club scene, FREQ has multiple dance floors and closes at 6:00 a.m. This club features globally known DJs. Event attendance can be heavy, so be prepared to wait for your drinks to be served.

On Now Lounge
431 7th Avenue, Fl 3rd
New York, NY 10001

Beer pong, karaoke, live DJs, and sets that include R&B, hip-hop, and Latin make this a popular stop. It’s a minute away from Madison Square Garden, making it easy to drop in before and after your event. On Now is open until 4:00 a.m., seven days a week.
